Who we are

IsItLegalHere is a personal project run by Petr Kindlmann, a software builder based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The site provides general information about laws in different countries for travelers. Contact: hello@isitlegalhere.com.

What we collect

We collect minimal data, all of it through standard third-party services rather than first-party tracking:

• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records request metadata: IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL. Used for security and abuse prevention. Retained by Cloudflare per their policy.
• Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-2KB7E6BE8K). Anonymous pageview and event statistics. IP anonymisation is enabled by default in GA4.
• Google AdSense. Serves ads on the site. AdSense and its partners may use cookies to personalise ads where you have consented.

We do not run our own analytics, do not maintain user accounts, and do not sell data.

Cookies

Cookies on this site come from three sources: Google Analytics (measurement), Google AdSense (advertising), and Google's Funding Choices CMP (consent state). You can clear or block cookies via your browser. EEA, UK and Swiss visitors can change ad-related consent at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

EEA, UK and Swiss consent

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we use Google's Funding Choices consent message (built on the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework v2.2) to collect and record your preferences for personalised advertising. You can revisit your choices at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

Third-party services

• Cloudflare — hosting and edge networking. Privacy policy.
• Cloudflare Email Routing — forwards mail sent to hello@isitlegalhere.com to the operator. Same policy link as above.
• Google Analytics. Privacy policy.
• Google AdSense & Funding Choices. Same policy link as above; ad personalisation is governed by your consent choices.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, California, or another jurisdiction with applicable rights, you can request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email hello@isitlegalhere.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

Updates to this policy are posted at this URL with a revised "last updated" date.
